The goals of the association are:

• Heritage protection
• Protecting the built environment in Budapest
• Preserving the integrity of the whole urban fabric
• Primary aim is to protect the urban areas, rich with historical significance for Budapest, that are currently under threat
• Concentrated area of activities is demarcated by the following streets: Károly körút, Andrássy út, Erzsébet körút and Rákóczi út
• Protecting the city by means of renewal and renovation
• Researching and analysing significant architectural monuments, initiating their protected status and laying the groundwork for their preservation
• Seeking and maintaining contact with the respective authorities and organisations, as well as with institutes and specialists dealing with urban preservation in the member states of the European Union
• Publishing and distributing books and other publications and exhibiting work of specialists in the field
• Organising scientific forums as well as citizens’ forums
• Researching and obtaining financial and moral support, as well as helping hands to achieve the above-mentioned goals

The association does not take part in direct political activity and does not offer financial support to any parties.
